heh, heh, heh ;) aRTs (Advanced Real Time Sound) is superior then ESD for the following reason: 1. aRTs is fully compatible to ESD. 2. It takes less memory and cpu resources 3. you don't need any special configuration for your apps (you mention for example Real Player which supports ESD, well with aRTs you simply don't need to change anything and it will play all the sounds - from my Real Player while I'm getting ICQ messages from LICQ and while I'm playing Alice in Wonder world with WineX - all is running under a tiny poor ES1371 sound card). ESD DOES causes problems with winex from my experience (try to run 3DMark 2000 with ESD and see how you sometime loose sync totally). -- Hetz Ben Hamo [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
