Hi,
Any one knows how to cause automake to use
GNU ld instead of 'ar'?
I replaced AC_PROG_RANLIB with AC_PROG_LIBTOOL
and changed all LIBRARIES primaries to LTLIBRARIES as
well as calling ./configure with --with-gnu-ld. Nothing worked.
