Hi all

I have seen that some guys/ladies here had problems with apm and acpi. IE:
when youy do "init 0" the kernel says "Power donw" instead of doing it
himself. The trick is to make apm (or acpi) built in and not as modules.

You can configure both, but only one will be available on runtime, so to make
your kernel smaller I would recommend, that you choose one and stick with it.
If you do choose acpi, then uncheck "Button". If you do check it, when you
press the power button, it will write an entry into /proc/acpi/button instead
of doing what you really want. This is done for a daemon which should read
that file. (if there a good one avaiable? so I can make my pc susped, or shut
down depends on the click interval?)
