Another idea - that particular disk may be having more than its share of
defective sectors. And recovery from soft errors takes some time. One
day it'll develop hard errors.
You said that your hard disk is Seagate ST330620A, so you should look for
test software in Seagate's Web site.

There is no IGLU Cabal. The hardware used by the former Cabal members was
