Hi,

Regarding a recent discussion about Unicode file names, you might be interested
to know that NFS v4 defines path names to be UTF-8 encoded strings. See
"NFS version 4 Protocol", RFC 3010, URL: ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc3010.txt
However, nfs-utils 0.3.1, the current version on Redhat Linux 7.2, supports
NFS v2 and v3 only. BTW, NFS v4 also have owner and group encoded in UTF-8 and
are not numeric any more!

Zvi.
