I've been trying to run Bar-Ilan version 3 (five years old) on wine, but I never get past the 'No response from NetHASP server' dialog. (It could be just a problem with accessing the parallel port itself from a 16-bit program; I haven't gotten the 16-bit version to run on NT either.) In general, I'm upset with the Bar-Ilan guys who won't give me an upgrade to the current version at less than the full price of the program (4 or 5 upgrades = $700), so I feel like I paid for nothing five years ago. If you've had more success, please tell me.
