Wow, I didn't see that coming...

Well, actually, I did ;)

In January 29th, I wrote in this list:

"Which makes me raise a question: are we going to see for the first time
ever (or at least since Redhat 5) a Redhat release numbered *.3 (i.e.,
   7.3)?

What I mean is, is there any chance that a new gcc will be stable enough
in 2 months to be useful as the only compiler on a system (for compiling
C, C++, kernels, and everything)? Because I doubt that Redhat will come
out with 8.0 without being based on a new gcc. And according to my
calculations (which might be flawed), a beta of the next Redhat should be
   out in about two months."

P.S. I can't find your slashdot story, nor any confirmation on redhat.com,
linuxtoday.com, or linux.com. Pointers, please?
