kmail2 is stable, it does not crash, if this is what you mean.
kamil3 was stable at beta2, which I used for a month or two. I am now using 
kmail2, waiting for kde3 final, which supports hebrew perfectly. I used to 
swap mails with ms-only duds, which did not see any problem.
I am just waiting for the moment in which kmail will support sending html 
mail. I know this is not very popular, but it is needed.

utf8 hebrew, which kmail2, did not recognize, I see just squares... 
hetz, in kmail configuration move utf8 bellow iso8859-8-i, so when you write 
in hebrew, it will use iso8859-8-i. It is more visible in other mailers, and 
besides ms clients like it better.
