I have a problem with icq, when there is a disconnection sometimes it does not realize "something" which causes it to try to reconnect over and over without success. When I stop this loop by, clicking offline and then online it connects fine (until the next time). The deal is, that icq 2001b, 2000, (n-1) :) worked most of the time with the problem I mentioned seldom occurring. Now, however, with the icq2002 it goes into standby mode where it should return when the line is up, and it never does unless I open icq myself. I remember an issue with ipchains about tcp time outs, but could it also occur now with netfilter? I vaguely remember they said this shouldn't happen with the new connection tracking scheme. Any clue?
p.s: I tried other IM, but the same problem(though again more seldom than icq2002) occurs on various occasions since the design of the clients is different, but the problem do repeats. Notes: adsl, masq, tcpmss, kernel 2.4.4. (adsl works great no problem there for the last 6 months), iptables 1.2.2, icq setuped: connection alive, firewall, no proxy, determine ip automagically. * - * - * Tzahi Fadida [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fax (+1 Outside the US) 240-597-3213 * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * ================================================================To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
