I want to learn how to use and get around XEmacs properly. I am perfectly
happy with gvim and XEmacs behaves very much like I don't want it to, but
finding how to use it is a pain because the documentation system is
horrid. (IMHO, flame away in private)

So, my question is: are "how to do this in XEmacs/Vim/Perl/Python/etc"
off-topic in this list or will reduce the SNR? They are not
off-topic in GNUbies-IL, but I'm not really a newbie (at least not in
Linux as a whole). How many of you are subscribed to gnubies-IL, too?
There's some newbies there, and a dedicated list of gurus (kudus to
Tzafrir, Muli and the others), but I'm not sure I can get all the support
I'd like.

So, my question: would forming a unix-utils mailing list, where people
will ask pesky usage questions, be a good idea? Or should we keep
such posts on this list? I believe most people here would not want to see
pesky XEmacs questions (including me), so I think it would be a better
idea to form a dedicated mailing list.

Regards,

        Shlomi Fish
