Add to that - that the moment you'll install glibc 2.2 RPMS on RH 6.2, you can kiss your system goodbye - unless you'll do the whole dependency upgrade (which, in that case equal to 99% upgrade anyway).... You can compile glibc and install it on another location (/usr/local for example), but then you'll have the "pleasure" to set each time the $PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, etc..
