No clue.. I guess you should give some more info. All configure options, all your commands, etc. You did look at the binaries *after* make install, right? BTW, I never used this option. I use --prefix to install new gccs into *different* directories, and the I use PATH (and when needed, LD_LIBRAARY_PATH) to choose which compiler I want to use today.
