the problem in kde3.01 (mdk) is that some packages install them selves in 
/opt/kde3 while others in /usr/bin. A really ugly mix. I linked between 
/opt/kde3/bin and /usr/bin, and installed the rpms without thinking. anyway I 
don't use kde3 a long time....

BTW: when is the next distro which contains gnome2 and kde3 is going to get 
out?
