I want to use my HP Scanjet 5100C scanner on my linux machine.
This scanner is supported by SANE, but it requires ppSCSI.
It seems that the latest ppSCSI patch was released for the 2.2.10 kernel, and
I use the 2.4.18 kernel.
I remember having the same problem with the PC speaker driver(Yes, I do have a
soundcard, it just interested me...),
what I did then was applying the patch "manually" - I read it line by line,
and using my healthy logic, I pushed code where I thought it will fit,
it was a long process but in the end I had it working... the sad thing is that
I found a patch for my kernel(I think it was 2.4.17) 2 days later...)-:
Will this work with this program as well?
And please let me know if there is another solution... It is a very tiring
thing to do...(-:
