Other then the much used word aggregation `Voice-over-IP' everything
you wrote is Greek to me. That said, you might want to read the LDP's
VoIP-HOWTO. I haven't. It is Greek to me either.

As an aside and, have you got my reply about the video card memory?

Title: Voice over IP

Hello list.

I have a rather unusual problem.
I need to set up a system that can handle voice processing and distributing over multiple sites as a main site and clients for both broadcasting and receiving.

since I'm not big on Multimedia applications I need some advice on what kind of software ( free of commercial ) is there for Linux (preferably ) of other branches of Unix - if at all - that can handle the following specifications , and if some one knows what hardware is capable of supporting those requirements .

Here are the requirements.

1)  Over a private intranet (bandwidth is not a problem)
2)  Source: 6 sites broadcasting up to 10 audio inputs to a single hub site with 10 separate (1 per input) recorders or headsets

3)  25 Hz to 2.5 kHz
4)  1% distortion
5)  1dB deviation overall range

I don't need the nuts and bolts of it now - all I need to know now if it can be done at all on Linux and with what supported HW and SW.

Thanks

Assaf
