Hi I have Mandrake 8.2 and I'm trying to get a Plam m505 to sync across USB cradle either to Evolution or jpilot. When hotsyncing (irregardles of end app, that is with or without Evolution/joilot/other running) the following messages are printed to /var/log/messages/ Sep 13 16:04:05 localhost kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 14 Sep 13 16:04:05 localhost kernel: usbserial.c: Palm 4.0 converter detected Sep 13 16:04:05 localhost kernel: visor.c: Palm 4.0: Number of ports: 2 Sep 13 16:04:05 localhost kernel: visor.c: Palm 4.0: port 1, is for Generic use and is bound to ttyUSB0 Sep 13 16:04:05 localhost kernel: visor.c: Palm 4.0: port 2, is for HotSync use and is bound to ttyUSB1 Sep 13 16:04:05 localhost kernel: usbserial.c: Palm 4.0 converter now attached to ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs) Sep 13 16:04:05 localhost kernel: usbserial.c: Palm 4.0 converter now attached to ttyUSB1 (or usb/tts/1 for devfs) All is wonderful until..... Sep 13 16:04:06 localhost /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: Setup visor for USB product 830/2/100 Sep 13 16:04:06 localhost /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: missing kernel or user mode driver visor Oh and also /dev/ttyUSB* is created with each attemted sync and dissapears once the sync fails...whats up with that? Any advise would be welcome Thanks Ivor ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
