well, you should feel sheepish, not insulted. the FAQ clearly states that more details than less is helpful. now we know your kernel version, that's an improvement, because some kernels did not support USB 2, you know. in other news, the kudzu or whatever may have installed an old modules that supports the chipsets' 1.1 speeds and not 1.1, that's why I asked that you let us know which modules are loaded. here my USB knowledge ends. I know there are peripherals that work at different speeds on the same serial buss (mice at 1.5MB, scanners at 12), I have no idea if they indeed CAN work at different speeds on the same bus, but I haven't seen any warnings about connecting scanners and mice to the same USB port (or hub for that matter). I have no idea if the fact your fast 2.0 storge is not dragged behind because you have a mouse on the same bus, so I asked what you had connected to the USB as well. so now I spent 2 paragraph explaining you why we need more info, whereas you spent less than half as many words to describe WHAT YOU TRIED TO DO SO FAR. that's a bit unfair, and so I'm going back to work now, let you post the FULL details of what you're trying and let someone else help you. I ran out of time. -- I'm so bad I make medicine sick Ira Abramov http://ira.abramov.org/email/ This post is encrypted twice with ROT-13.
