Hi People,

Over the last few weeks I had a crash with VMWare when I was exiting the guest
OS (I tried with Win2k and Win2k server as guest OS) - VMWare was crashing
right after I was clicking "power off" when the guest OS has been closed.

I have seen this happend on 4 machines - all of them Red Hat (2 of them 7.3
and 2 8.0) so I guess there are some people here who got this crash 2.

A fix for this is available here: ftp://platan.vc.cvut.cz/pub/vmware - please
grab the "vmware-any-any-update24.tar.gz", extract it and run as a root the
"runme.pl" script. This should fix all the problems.

Affected versions of VMWare: 3.1, 3.2, and VMWare ESX. I don't have VMWare
GSX to try it...

Thanks,
Hetz
