For multimedia stuff it's totally slow (and don't try GNOME on it - it got some serious problems with GTK and GTK-2. I didn't say it - Alan Cox mentioned it on redhat's lists). If you're thinking about making a PVR with it - it's a bad idea. The Duron 1200Mhz + EliteGroup board combo (non upgradable but got all the stuff you need for) costs about $90-$100.
