The subject says it all. The -R switch is recursive, but ignores hidden directories. And grep also ignores hidden files. Is there a way around this? I couldn't find anything about this in man grep or on the net. In fact, aside from my personal experience, I couldn't even find confirmation that grep does ignore hidden files and directories.
