Hello folks It may be picky or stupid, but here goes.
I have setup a new system, and set it up to use the IST timezone. Hardware clock is set to GMT, and date returns the IST time properly. I've also set up ntpd to query the IIX timeserver. The only problem that this setup has in this respect is syslog. For the life of me I can't make syslog dump its log files in GMT. Since this is a firewall, I want to have accurate GMT logs that I can use for security violation reports. Is there any way to have syslog use the GMT timezone instead of the system's locale? -- Arik ********************************************************************** This email and attachments have been scanned for potential proprietary or sensitive information leakage.
