RedHat 8.0 7.3 and qtrans

Hi,

After installing RH8.0 many source level packages stopped compiling. I understand that the source level compatibility problem is due to an attempt to comply with the standards. I also understand that the run time libraries are backward compatible. I hope my understandings are correct.
Still RH8 was an environment I could not cope with.

So now to the qtrans package.
I installed RH7.3 and it still does not compile. What more should I do, install RH5.2??
