People who wish to register to Hamakor - Israeli society of Free Software and Open Source Code (RS) are now welcome to do so.
Details about the society, it's goals and bylaws, can be found at http://www.hamakor.org.il
The society has two levels of membership: members and friends. Registration fees for both levels is 100 NIS and entitles the friend or member for any discount or parcipation in activities the society will organise.
In addition, a member may also elect and be elected for the society institutions and is a member of the society assembly. A member must satisfy the following additional terms:
a. Be 18 or older.
b. Sign a decleration stating that he or she supports the society goals and agree to abide by it's rules.
c. Have a proven track record of Free Software and/or Open Source community work (note: this is NOT limited to programming.).
d. Be approved by the society board as satisfying the above terms.
Registration requests, including full name, snail mail address, email and phone number (all details will be used only as a way to contact the friend or member for society activities and will never be given to any third party unless required by law), should be mailed to:

Please include the membership fees for one year of 100 NIS as either cash or check made payable to HaMakor. Also, please indicate if you are interested in becoming full members and write a brief description of your relevant Free Software and/or Open Source work. The latter may also be done at any time via email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] after registration as a friend.
People living or working in the area of Herzelia-Pituh and are interested in registering may also contact me via email and we'll organise to meet and register them in person. We will also announce from time to time other locations and time for face to face registration. People who wish to suggest such places and times are welcome to contact the society board at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
In addition, HaMakor has recently sponsored duplication of a few RedHat 8.0 3 CD sets (proffesional duplication, not CD-R) for a Haifux Instalaltion party and we have some sets left. People who are intrested in them are also welcome to contact me. A set is 20 NIS for members & friends and 25 NIS for everyone else.
