Hi everybody,
As some of you might know from other resources on the web
I'm working now on a new Hebrew Linux distribution called "Boten
GNU/Linux"
It'll be based on the Peanut Linux distribution from Canada.
I've created a framebuffer install procedure in Hebrew and added many
features
so it could be easily installed by a newbie.

The hebrew support looks super!
KDE defaults is set to Israel/Hebrew local fonts plus i added
some hebrew xfonts and few other little thingy's.
KDE does an excellent job with local's now.
Consolechars works perfect for the 'setup procedure' and i
defaulted there keyboard to hebrew kbd.
Xterm, Eterm, xconsole & konsole open with -fn hebrew
The distribution supports RPM and i'm buliding new packages all the
time
so almost every new/popular software will be available in RPM, GCC is
also included of course.
UMSDOS partition is also an option to install the system without
repartitioning the disk.
Boten GNU/Linux is a Glibc 2.2.5, Libc6 ELF system,
loaded with KDE 3.1, E v16.5, X Windows 4.2.99.4, Kernel 2.4.20 with
USB support.

I also included some of the penguin.org.il guides, and i'm writing my
own install guide
for the home users that will cover at least one type of the install
methods (probably UMSDOS)
so even the newbies among us will be able to enjoy playing with the
system.

I think that everything should be available in the end of next week.
ALL the system of course is under the terms of the GPL License,
sources will be available
right after i'll finish everything and the ISO files will be
available to download in
http://www.mpthrill.com/peanut/
I'm planning to improve the site and move it to another server (but
not in the near future).

Thanks for the support in advance everybody.
Shay.
