Hi,

I just got a RedHat Advanced Server 2.1 (that isn't connected to the
internet), and I have to upgrade the "software developer environment" (gcc,
ld, glibc, glibc-common, bin-utils, etc') to the latest version available
for my developers needs.
While trying to do so - I found to know that there are some strict orders in
the installations (like I have to upgrade "glibc-common" before "glibc"),
but I went into a dead end after several tries.

So, my question is:
Does anyone know how should I upgrade the all environment?

Tnx,
Sysprog

Try using up2date which will resolve these dependencies if you're part of some company you can beta test aduva's "director" http://www.aduva.com which supports advanced server as well and takes care of software/kernel upgrades and linux network management.
If you're interested about checking it out please contact me offlist.
