Sorry to interrupt the linux-irelevant holy wars with a community announcement.
According to unconfirmed rumours and foreign reporters there's a large happening planned for August 1st. We are looking for people to help, but specifically we are looking for someone with "projector" experience to be responsible for the projectors (AKA "Barko") in the event. This person (or "projector manager", if you wish) will have to: 1. Come an hour early to set everything up 2. Make sure that all the equipment is there, everything works, with the right resolution, focus, etc 3. Coordinate between the people bringing the projectors and the place the event is hosted in (make sure there are power outlets, etc) 4. Prior experience is necessary (seriously) 5. Prior STL / OOP / C# experience is NOT necessary (and may be frowned upon) You are not expected to bring any equipment of your own, but you have to be responsible that everything works! Just to explain our situation: if we can't get a volunteer to do it, we will have to pay the place hosting the event to do it for us; which means we will have to charge more for entrance :-( -- - Aviram ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
