This is not against Guy personally, but a message for the flamers who spend their time wining on other people's off-topic posts instead of doing constructive things to promote Linux or help others.
I think dittigas's first post was poorly constructed. Posting a URL with very little information is not helpful. However, I do not think the post itself was bad. I certainly can't find anything wrong with the second post, which had the obvious subject "whatsup self promotion". It is quite self-evident what the email body is; so if that doesn't interest you, hit the 'delete' button. I don't see a reason to ban whatsup pointers from this list, just like there are occasional pointers to ynet, slashdot, and other places. Occasionally there are issues that involve the community, and Linux-IL is a main part of the community IMO. I would want to see those discussed here, or at least I'd like to see a "heads-up" about those issues when those arise. I know my post doesn't contribute to the SNR. The only reason I posted it is to raise a troubling issue - in any Linux-related activity that gets organized here, there seems to be dozens of objections, and plenty of people that point out what is wrong, and what should be done instead. However, there are only few people who actually *do* something. -- "It was only a one liner. A semi-illiterate chipmunk could've written it.
