Oded's very valid points was (if I understood correctly) that:

 1. Some of us use mail readers that are not web-browsers, so following a
"link" in a mail is anything but trivial. This is why when you post a
link you should do us a favor and write one or two sentences about what
the link contains, to give us the tools to decide if we want to spend the
next 60 seconds trying to follow this link.

 2. This is an English list, so if you link to a Hebrew article, it would
be nice (though I guess not necessary) to say a few words about what the
people who can't read it are missing.

Nobody is saying to can't ever send whatsup links here - just that your
email should include a few words together with the link. Between Oded's
anger, you could actually find a constructive comment.

And by the way, yes, I was too frustrated when I saw your post. I still
don't know what it was about.

Regretfully, pompose self containd and arrogant attitudes are also very
typical of communities that *think* they are not small.

Linux-il isn't smaller than the whatsup community (whatever that means;
I often comment in whatsup too, by the way), and it's not more arrogant
or pompose. People on it are simply used to certain behaviors, and don't
like others. This happens in every community, even in whatsup (where, for
example, English is frowned upon). If you want to express yourself in public,
you have to consider that - it's called manners.
