To tell you the truth, I read the article, and I don't see an
immediate cause for outrage just on the basis of the
article. Microsoft is a big company, and it specifically targets the
government sector as a market. Many big companies do. So M$ organize a
conference specifically for government representatives, and there will
be a minister from Israel giving a talk.

So what? It is a problem only if the Israeli government gives M$
preferential treatment, e.g. by consistently refusing to attend
government-oriented conferences organized by M$ competitors.

At the Go-Linux event there were several representatives of the
Israeli government, including a minister with a real portfolio, who
also gave a talk. Was *that* a problem?
