You're being too polite. Your leeter should have been shorter:Very wise of you, then, to CC the reporter and the editor.
"Dear sir, your article is a shallow peace of propoganda, shadowed with loads of FUD..."
But since we, as civilized people, must keep our tounge clean, I would give your letter 10/10 in all aspects. Actually, I wish I could be as calm as you were. Well, I guess that's probably the reason I try to avoid writing such letters...
While I'm far from being totally innocent myself, we should try and avoid jumping too far ahead to conclusions. Let's try and not jump to conclusions regarding brain size, motives and other things. This is a public forum, and people have the right to respond, and people should not be be talked about like that. Even if they do, occasionally, publish Linux/FOSS unfriendly articles. Hell, even if they consistently publish unfriendly articles.
Even if you believe that this point of view stems from ignorance, try to educate. If you believe it stems from malice, keep that belief to yourself unless you have actual proof. This is not only a result of having to respect other people, but mostly because, in 99 cases out of 100, you will be wrong.
Please, people, try to respect others as you would expect to be respected.
Turning to the editors and reporters of Globes - I know you must think that Open Source software has no "parents", and as such do not require response when criticised. The software doesn't have an official parent, but we did form an official body to be able to answer in precisely such cases. It's called "Hamakor", and the homepage for it is available at http://www.hamakor.org.il. You are welcome to contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] in any case, such as this, where you need an "official" response to such articles.
