It happens that I press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace unintentionally. This sad event brings the end of a long X session with all of its programs. However on my current system it also causes much more instability.
Symptom: I can't switch to a different virtual console. Any attempt to
Qhat key sequences do you try to use for the switch? The console one or the X11 one?
