Before we all cheer along, let's remember that lots of things can go wrong along the way. In fact, I doubt this is, at this stage, anything more than a preliminary idea someone had. I'll also ask anyone else on this list who are in close connections with MoF whether they have heard anything about this move? I want to know how mature is this decision. We all know that some things in this country are published first, and only then decided upon.
However this plays out in the end (unless we try and make the switch and fall flat on our face), I'm hoping this will do good to the cause of moving to free software only (or mostly) solutions. My guess (pure guesswork) is that IBM is the one offering the actual migration.
