Hi!
I would like to run a script at X startup. I called this script from
within my .Xclients file (before I call exec startkde) but it does not
have any effect.
Then, I placed a Set-Mouse-Speed.desktop file in my ~/Desktop/Autostart
directory with the following contents:
<<<
[Desktop Entry]
Comment=
Comment[en_US]=
Encoding=UTF-8
Exec='/home/shlomi/bin/set-mouse-speed.sh'
GenericName=
GenericName[en_US]=
Icon=
MimeType=
Name=Link to Application
Name[en_US]=Link to Application
Path=
ServiceTypes=
SwallowExec=
SwallowTitle=
Terminal=false
TerminalOptions=
Type=Application
X-KDE-SubstituteUID=false
X-KDE-Username=
>>>
It runs fine when I double click it in Konqueror, but does not get
executed on startup.
What should I do to run it at this point?
I'm using Mandrake 9.2 with KDE 3.1.4.
Regards,
Shlomi Fish

Writing a BitKeeper replacement is probably easier at this point than getting
its license changed.
