Hi,While logged in as root, start gdmconfig, it should give you an option to allow configuration from the login screen and many other options.
I would like to know how to configure Gnome on RH9 for a specific user:
* control the menus from the "start menu" (which item will appear in the menues)
* control which application a user can activate (run)
* require a root password (or a previledged user password) for certain applications
Since I am not using Red-Hat I can not test it but I remember I tried it on a red-hat machine.
However this configurator lets you config about 50% of the actual configuration parameters of gdm the rest is configurable from /etc/gdm/gdm.conf
Hope this helps.
