I have Compaq Evo N1020v, which uses IGP340 as well. For 2D, you can use the 
radeon driver. For 3D it's still a mess (specially with the XFree86 license 
change fiasco), since you'll need an updated and patched driver (or see if 
you can find some one who'll mail you a binary one already compiled for 
4.3.0), and updated dri, and kernel module.
