Good karma :-) Sunday is Mandrake's developers' day off (saturday would probably work as well, but the web is always very busy on saturdays). sometimes the guys are updating and rebuilding a whole set of inter-dependant packages, and your mirror may refresh in the middle of such an update, missing some of the new packages and causing you to have missing dependencies. sometimes its anoying, sometimes its a problem and in those cases you either drop the update (sometimes after already getting and installing some of the packages) or leave stuff dangling. On sunday the mirrors had enough time to catch up and get all the new packages. > BTW: what's the urpmi equivalent of 'apt-cache search' ? urpmi -y <pacakge name> ? it does a case insensitive lookup for package names and "provides" through the hdlists. -- Oded ::..
