RHEL WS (workstation) doesn't come with mysql-server except via the extras but RHEL AS (advanced server) does of course come with mysql-server. I can't vouch for the other packages but you can't really blame redhat for leaving servers out of their workstation distribution.

I was actually talking about RHEL ES (http://www.redhat.com/software/rhel/es/) which is supposed to be for small/mid range servers, not workstations.
