Hi again,

1. The problem is not with all of the d815eea's (we have around 40),
only with some of them. I guess they do not have the exact same
e100 chip, although bought together. The rest is about those that did
have the problem.

2. As I said, with 2.4.26 eepro100 works fine, e100 looses frames.

3. I took mulix's advice: with 2.6.6 both work well. It also seems
generally faster. But since it's RedHat 7.3 and I am too lazy to
patch it to work well with 2.6, I won't move to it for now. Not that
it seems that much work (everything did start up well, but with
various warnings from the kernel about obsolete stuff), but we are
now considering the replacement for it, and I do not want to invest
time in it.

4. 2.4.27-pre2 has, according to the Changelog, various patches for
e100. I did not try it. Maybe when 2.4.27 is out, I will try again
e100. For now I will stay with eepro100.

Thanks everyone for the replies and ideas,
