Hello People,
We're looking for a Linux system guy, a person who is able to compile the kernel, knows its features by heart,
fluent in networking, mostly ethernet, routing, QoS, iptables able to debug the problems in the common network protocols by using tcpdump (and not by watching the traffic scroll by but look at the protocol itself) are the must keywords.
We run Debian only and are not looking to change distro, apache, php, postfix mysql and postgres. So knowing most if not all packages and their configuration is a big plus. We run a similar configuration on various remote machines that need to be maintained, ability to tune Apache and the rest of the services for load is a plus.
Excellent shell scripting skills a must. C is appreciated, PHP skills are a big plus. Security oriented is important (The type that uses ssh non password authentication with keys stored on his encrypted homedir/disk would be nice).
As with any job opening, we are looking for a self and quick learner, ORGANIZED that can complete a task from beginning to end yet still motivated to work and learn a thing or two.
People willing to travel to the area of Azrieli in Tel-Aviv are welcome to apply, age or sex does not matter, just skills.
Please forgive the long an unorthodox post but I needed to make some points clear since we have been asking for a Linux guru yet receving a bunch of resumes of people who are totally Windozers.
Looking forward to meeting you.
p.s.
a. Please respond to "roger at trafficsales.com" rather than the address from which I have send this email.
b. People running Windoze on their personal computers need not apply, Come prepared. :)
