For whomever it might be interesting:
Among the protocols in <networkupstools.org/protocols>, it's most
similar to "megatec". Particularly, it reports almost whatever that's
there, it can <T>est, and can be programmed to schedule a shutdown and
resume (of the UPS, of course - which is cool. I thought that hardware
to schedule such things costs much more, the cheapest X10 "remote power"
costs maybe twice that this). The most important thing it can't report
is the amount of time/power left in the battery. But it can report
"battery low", which is usually good enough for more-than-trivial
shutdowns, and can also report "percentage of load" (says 22% when
a 100Watt light bulb is connected), so you can probably try to guess
after some experiments how much time is left.
