No, Bill Gates is not a valid candidate, because he is not an Israeli. The "Israeli" criterion was put in place so that this award acknowledges the contribution of someone from our little country to free software, rather than going out to the "usual suspects", like Richard Stallman and Linus Torvalds. Moreover, this is an award for the *advancement* of *free* software, not for the fight against free software or the advancement of proprietary software :) Please read the above URL for more information (in Hebrew) before you nominate. And PLEASE, send your nominations to [EMAIL PROTECTED], not here. -- Nadav Har'El | Monday, Jun 21 2004, 2 Tammuz 5764 [EMAIL PROTECTED] |----------------------------------------- Phone +972-523-790466, ICQ 13349191 |In Fortran, God is real unless declared http://nadav.harel.org.il |an integer. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
