>From a pure character point of view, there is no difference between
iso-8859-8 and iso-8859-8-i. The difference is that iso-8859-8 implies
Hebrew text in Visual order, and iso-8859-8-i implies Hebrew text in
Implicit (a.k.a. Logical) order.
Both are registered at IANA, but of course implementations may choose to
support any subset they like.

Hi,
My question refers to an old message of yours (about one year ago) in
which ou mention this character set:
What is the difference between this set and the iso-8859-8 ?
On my system (debian/testing, kernel 2.4.?? ) ican find only the latter.
If there are differences, please indicate where can I find the -i
version.
