Hi list. I'm trying to use Nautilus to brows the company's windows file servers, but I couldn't find anyway to set the credentials to use for browsing - not per server/share and not globally. With Konqueror I can set a global credentials and then if that fails (or not set) Konqueror pops up a password dialog. Nautilus OTOH shows me the servers and when I try to access some where that requires credentials it simply fails with the error: You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of "Windows Network: <server name>", without asking for user name or password. the only way I got Nautilus to cooperate is by specifing my username in a URL to the full path name of the share in the "open location" dialog", and then I can only access that specific share. This might have been acceptable in older gnomes, but since 2.6 and the new "Spatial file browsing", the missing address bar makes this method far too dificult to use.
Can some one please tell me how to set the credentials for SMB browsing in Nautolus ? -- Oded ::..
