I sent this 14 hours ago and it didn't reach the list so here's anoher try.

Hi,

I have what MAY be a related problem with XawTV, so I'll try to take advantage
of Amichai's question to possibly solve my problem too.

I have a FlyVideo2000 TV card. I was not able to configure it properly. But I
discovered that I could use an old VCR as an improvised "MEMIR". What I mean
is that when I connect the TV card's antenna sockket directly to the HOT wall
outlet, I get nothing, but if I put the VCR in the middle (i.e I connect the
FlyVideo2000 to the VCR's RF out socket and the VCR's antenna socket to the
wall socket), I can now choose channels using the VCR remote control.
