Hi,
I want to convert a Perl util C so it can run on a machine without Perl. I don't know Perl (hopefully never will).
There is a Perl to C compiler called a "programmer".
But that's a proprietary solution.
Prices and availability varies and so does the quality of the translation. They are usually not sold, but rented,
Proprietary solution of the worst kind. The kind where you pay lots of money (and I know that some "programmer" vendors charge you an arm and a leg, not to mention the price of constant rent if you want to keep the utility on retainer), and you don't even end up owning said programmer.
sometime per hour and sometime for a monthly free. If you are interested I can rent you one :-)
Trafficking in body parts now, eh?
In short, I failed to understand the nature of your query?

And to David's original query - there is no automatic perl to C converter. There is a perl compiler, but you really are better off just installing perl on the machine. If that's absolutely not the case, I'm afraid that Gilad's solution is your only course of action.
