Hi,

Shachar, Oz did not ask you or anybody else on this list to evaluate the
company or it's chances to succeed.
Oz offered a job, and I can assure you it's a good job. Either apply or
ignore that mail.

First, and most importantly, if Oz got offended by my mail, I hereby publicly apologize. It was not my intent to personally attack anyone, or to claim anything about either Oz or the type of people replying to the job.

Having said that, I think that there are several important things one needs to do when sending out job offers, and Oz neglected to do any of them. One has to explain what type of a job it is, what are the required qualifications, something about the company (even if not the actual company name. For one reason or another, several companies choose to not disclose that information publicly). Information like where, geographically, the company is located would also be very nice. Oz original email was criminally lacking of those, and his second email required some digging to fish it out. The very fact that Omer found a need to translate Oz's second email is a hint regarding that.

As for my mail - perhaps I really should have dropped metacafe out of it. The point I was trying to push across is that the bubble, with both good and bad related aspects of it, is coming back. Yes, I see Oz's unfortunate method of advertising the required job as a symptom of that, as well as the information that was provided, once provided. No, I don't think Metacafe is the only one, or even a particularily serious offender.

There is no need to be obnoxious to people who offers a job (remember
the TAU job offered here a couple of months ago?).

You are right about that one. I'll apologize again about that. I think that the Tau job incident was something completely different, but I don't think it would make sense to explain why while apologizing.

Sorry,
         Shachar
