I am using the PostScript driver, but I've used it before with HPIJS
without a noticeable slow-down.

Beside, HP tend to hide their Windows drivers inside a big bloated
"software suite" which I don't want to dig into...

I don't see any swap activity while printing. AAMOF, I have more than
100MB free on my RAM.

There are two processes that consume CPU during a print, which are
ptal-mlcd and hpijs (each takes up about 34% of CPU).
