What do you mean - that managing this solution is easier/cheaper than managing 
a MS based solution ?  If so, in what way ? If not, what do you mean ?

Exactly my feelings ! 

At this stage, I have failed to set up the system, so I feel like it will 
never work, and the MS solution is apparently up and running, but everyone I 
talk to says I can expect significant difficulties further down the road.

Please supply more details - since I must consider the downside before making 
a final decision.

In what way is AD and Web mail integrated ?  From the user's perspective, what 
is missing in the Linux solution versus the MS solution ?
