this is driving us crazy - we're trying to render a PS file to PDS and
it can find fonts (see below)
if we setup /usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.51/Resource/Font and copy
fonts over there it produces an unreadable PDF output file
this must be something REALLY stupid!!@

here are the error msgs
the directory /usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.51/Resource/Font does not
exist.
the font files exist in /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1
setting GS_FONTPATH to that directory does not help.
This is what I run and get:
