It is unlikely a free MAPI connector will ever appear. It makes no sense. If the user is already into spending money (Outlook is not free), they will pay for the connector or the the exchange server. The connectors (Bynari, Stalker and other) are cheaper then Exchange. FOSS collaboration tools do not have (yet?) a killer cross platform CLIENT. Most of the users I meet use their groupware client primarily as a PIM (Personal Information Manager), and need their information whether or not the server is available, so the web interfaces, as good as they maybe, are simply not enough. Maybe Evolution for Windows, Sunbird or Chandler will change this, but I am not holding my breath. > > -- > No spring chicken > Ira Abramov > http://ira.abramov.org/email/ > > ================================================================= > To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with > the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command > echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > ================================================================To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
